Editing an Issue with GeoData localization
Did the location of your issue change? Worry not. Once you have created an issue with GeoData localization, you are able to edit it.
Once you are on your issue’s page, click on the pen next to your address in the Location section.
This will open the GeoData editor.
Here you can see a few things. Let’s take them from the top!
At the very top, you can see the Search bar. This is here in case you want to search a location address you want to add to your issue. On how to add a location using the search bar, please refer here. If you want to add a location by clicking on the map, you can see instructions for that here.
Under the search bar, you can see the map. There are blue pins on the map. These pins represent the locations, which have already been added to your issue. By clicking on a pin, a popup will show with all the information about pinned location.
Moving down, you will find detailed information displayed about each location added to the issue. You can expand the address detail section by clicking on down arrow next to the Address field. In this section, you have the ability to modify information about the address, such as the Display name. All fields, except for GPS, are editable by the user. Please note that currently, editing these fields does not affect the position of the marker on the map. Regardless of any changes made, the marker position remains the same. Feel free to edit any of these fields without worrying about changing the marker position.
If you need to change the location of an already placed marker, it is suggested to remove the marker for which you want to change the location and create a new one in the desired location.
You are also able to remove a location here. This is accomplished by clicking on the trash can icon. This will not only remove the location from your issue, but also the pin for the location will disappear from the map.
Finally, to save or discard any changes you have made, there is a ✓ and Χ buttons at the very bottom of this block. The ✓ button will save changes. The Χ button will discard changes you’ve made for the issue.
You’ve done it! You’ve edited locations in your issue.
