Visualize your Confluence page tree. Place a macro on a page to create a diagram or a process map representing your page tree hierarchy
This app contains a macro, which can be inserted into a page.
The macro only shows the “page” content type in a diagram.
As blogs and comments do not have a hierarchy, the macro can show "One cell is one page in one project space in tree hierarchy" - external page tree hierarchy
The macro can be included in all content types (comments, blogs, space home…).
Usage
You can insert the macro via the macro browser, which can be opened by clicking the Insert (+) option in the main toolbar or by typing a slash “/“and typing the app name.
Instead of using the macro browser, you can also type a few letters of the macro’s name after the slash to quickly search for it.
After inserting the macro, a configuration dialog will be automatically shown. Here you will be able to customize many aspects of your diagram's appearance, which will be discussed in the following sections.
To preview your changes, press the Preview button. To save your changes, press the Save button and save your Confluence page. To discard all changes, click the Cancel button.
Data sources
The macro can accept data from several sources.
Current page
By default, the macro uses the page where it is inserted and its subpages to display a diagram.
Excluding pages
Pages excluded by being labelled with an “exclude” label or by being children of a page with an “exclude-children” label will not be displayed in the final result.
Children of pages with the “children-verticaI” label follow these rules when being shown in a merged diagram:
If none or only some parents have the label, the result won’t be displayed vertically
If all parents have the label, the result will be displayed vertically
Ordering of cells
You can change the order of cells in a diagram by reordering them within your page tree. However, pages with subpages will always be displayed after pages which have none. Also, please be aware that the diagram can only show up to 3 levels of page tree. The 4th and below levels can have subpages, but they will not be displayed. To overcome this, you can place another macro on the 3rd level to display the subpages of levels below.
Excluding pages
You can exclude pages from a diagram in two ways:
By adding an “exclude” label to a page to be excluded
By adding an “exclude-children” label to a parent page you want to show without its children
Chevrons
You can choose to display the third level of subpages without chevrons by using a checkbox in the macro configuration window.
Labels
You may add labels to the left and right sides of the diagram by filling in the Start Label (left) and Goal Label (right) fields in the macro configuration dialog.
Color customization
You can customize the colors used in your diagram by checking the Use Custom Theme checkbox and selecting colors in the input fields below. Fill in the hex color codes. Hex color codes can be found for example on W3Schools website.

Toolbar
Hovering your mouse pointer above a diagram will reveal a toolbar below it. The toolbar contains several useful functions.
Fullscreen
Clicking the full-screen button will display your diagram in full-screen mode. To exit, press the Esc key or click within the body of the diagram.
Clicking the print button will bring up the browser print dialog, enabling you to print the diagram.
Toolbar lock
Toggling the toolbar lock will cause toolbars of all diagrams to be revealed until it's disabled.
